I Wish!

I wish that things were different
I wish they were the same
As the way when I was younger
When life was just a game
I’m so sick of disappointment
Even sicker from the lies
I’m so caught up in the drama
And I guess it’s no surprise
When surrounded by the darkness
And enthralled by all the pain
It’s so hard to see a blessing
And it all just looks the same
As the things that truly hurt you
Are the things you keep inside
Hoping never to expose them
In exchange you really hide.
From the people that surround you
And the people you let in
The seclusion is a nightmare
Please don’t let that all begin.
Just remember we’re all different
Ain’t a two of us the same.
It’s not fair to every human
To transpose your every blame.
